How can I help you?
As an EMDR therapist I help people work through their childhood or recent trauma and present day challenges, such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression, life transitions, grief/loss, chronic pain, chronic stress, and burnout, among others. Also, I help couples work on deepening their connection and learning how to improve their communication, as well as supporting them through issues with fertility or postpartum struggles.
My philosophy on mental health
I work from a trauma informed lens and combine different modalities to meet every person’s needs. In my approach, I also include mindfulness, somatic and breathing exercises, and solution-focused techniques.
How Do I Practice Self-Compassion:
To practice self-compassion through mindful awareness, I frequently check in with myself throughout the day to notice my state of mind, feelings, thoughts, and needs. I pay close attention to the judge in my head and the voice with which I talk to myself. I practice being nurturing, gentle, loving, and kind to myself, and I practice being my own best cheerleader.
Fun Facts About Me:
I love growing tropical trees in pots and I have many different varieties of citrus and other tropical fruit trees. I also enjoy knitting, reading, running, and I love traveling and spending time with my family.
